After our safari adventure (note previous post) on Saturday, we took the kids to their very first baseball game and concert on Sunday afternoon. Somehow, amid the 90+ degree weather, we all had a great time! We got there around 2:30 and watched the Hawk Nelson concert. They are a Christian group, it was faith night at the ball park. Then at 5 we went in to watch the Huntsville Stars take on the West TN Diamond Jaxx. I don't think the kids ever fully understood why we would go watch other people play baseball.....they just wanted to get out there and play too! They each got a baseball from the players though and were very excited about that! We were sitting on the first row down by the 3 base line, right past the dugout so everytime a player would walk by they would both holler HI! and made friends that way. That's how they acquired the baseballs.
Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales also made an appearance during the game, which made everyone day (for about 2 seconds!). Michael usually loves the dress up characters and Ryan screams the second he lays eyes on them, however this time it was reversed. Michael wouldn't go near them and Ryan loved it!
After the game they were able to go down on the field and run the bases which they both really enjoyed. They would have gone around several times, but were limited to just once. We all had a good time though and hope to catch another game soon!

What fun! I especially love the picture of Ryan with Larry! That one is just so cute! We will have to all go out sometime and catch a game together! I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the game!
That's awesome. They look like naturals. We should all do the tee ball thing next year!
Looks like fun! That's another thing that's on our "to-do" list or more like on our "when we feel like we can handle it" list. :)
You had great seats then! Loved the boys saying hi to all the players (too cute!) We would love to see the Veggie Tales like that, but no telling if the girls would go up to them like Ryan did!
